Galé Area
Overview
The Villa is in the quiet family resort of Galé just to the west of Albufeira.
The area is made up of, in the main, low rise properties. There is a variety of
restaurants and bars in the Area (see
Restaurant Map - our villa is close to (5) 'O Por do Sol')
Coast/Beach
Situated approximately 1 kilometer away from either Galé, Costello, Lourenco
and Everisto beaches, our property is within a short walk of the coast. All the
beaches have bars/restaurants close by.
Travel
Faro airport is only 45 mins drive away and is the destination of many of the
low cost airlines. The average flight time from the UK is 2 hours 45 mins, this
teamed with the climate makes it an ideal holiday destination anytime of the
year. If you prefer not to hire a car, taxis are very reasonable.
Distances
Albufeira is only a ten minute drive away. The Old Town has a lively restaurant
area (see
Restaurant Map) based around the main square. The Montechoro area is
also quite popular in the evening (see
Restaurant Map).
Attractions
There's an excellent Marine Life attraction,
Zoo Marine, which is a fifteen minute drive away just outside Guia.
Further down the N-125 there are two Waterparks,
AquaLand (25 minutes drive) and
Slide and Splash (35 minutes drive).
